About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you'll operate within the Finance Team to keep customer payments, bank reconciliations, and account administration running accurately and on time. You'll investigate discrepancies, respond to account queries, and uphold strong standards of confidentiality and compliance. The role suits someone who can juggle competing priorities, communicate confidently with customers and internal stakeholders, and bring care to every transaction they touch.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Allocation & Receivables Processing

  • Process and allocate customer payments accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Investigate unidentified payments and allocation discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate customer account balances and transaction records.
  • Escalate unresolved allocation issues appropriately.

Bank Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy

  • Perform daily and periodic bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Ensure banking records align with accounting records.
  • Maintain supporting reconciliation documentation.

Customer Statements & Account Administration

  • Generate and distribute customer statements according to agreed schedules.
  • Maintain customer account information and account records.
  • Support account balance verification and account maintenance activities.
  • Ensure statements are accurate and professionally presented.

Customer & Internal Query Resolution

  • Manage shared mailboxes and respond to account-related enquiries.
  • Coordinate with customer service and internal stakeholders regarding account issues.
  • Investigate customer payment and balance enquiries.
  • Maintain professional communication standards.

Finance Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain finance records and supporting documentation.
  • Follow established finance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Readiness and Digital Enablement

  • Maintain baseline AI literacy and use approved AI tools responsibly, in line with company policies, data privacy, information security, and client confidentiality obligations.
  • Apply sound judgment by validating outputs and avoiding overreliance, ensuring accuracy and accountability in all work delivered.
  • Participate in AI readiness trainings and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and responsible AI integration.



What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Allocation, Bank Reconciliation, Billing, or Finance Administration
  • Accounting or finance-related certifications are advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, ERP platforms, banking platforms, and shared mailbox systems
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, confidentiality requirements, and finance procedures
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders
