Job Openings SEO Specialist

About the job SEO Specialist

Ready to help brands get found in a whole new way?

Hi! We're Smartsourcing, and we're hiring a full-time, onsite SEO Specialist. You'll turn good drafts into live, accurate pages, and help brands show up when people ask AI assistants for a recommendation.

Where? JEG Tower, Archbishop Reyes, Corner Acacia St., Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, 6000 Cebu

About the Role

You'll do the hands-on delivery work for a Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) service across several client plans at once. A platform identifies what each client needs and drafts every page, email, and fix. Your job is to check each draft, make it right for the client, put it live, and log it. That covers improving existing pages, building new ones, creating listings, sending pitches on sites AI assistants cite, and fixing the basics of the client's website. It's a behind-the-scenes role, so it suits someone with excellent written English, confident website editing, a working grasp of SEO, and the judgement to check what AI tools produce. Once trained, you'll carry around 10 clients, working from checklists and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Page Optimisation & New Page Builds

  • Improve existing pages from the platform's findings and drafted edits: an opening that answers the question first, clear headings, an FAQ, internal links, schema, and a visible last updated date.
  • Edit every page to match the client's voice and proof sheet.
  • Build new 800–1,500-word pages from briefs and drafts for questions the client is missing from.
  • Check every fact and claim, and add the client's own proof (case studies, credentials, testimonials).
  • Write page titles, meta descriptions, and image alt text.

Publishing & Client Approvals

  • Send drafts to clients for approval and apply their changes.
  • Publish approved pages in the client's website editor (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Kajabi, Webflow, HubSpot, and others).
  • Publish drafts as written once the five-working-day approval window passes.
  • Prepare ready-to-paste drafts or change-request packs where there is no website access.
  • Register each published address in the work-tracking platform.

Off-site Listings & Outreach

  • Work through the list of websites AI assistants cite where the client is missing.
  • Create listings and profiles on directories, review sites, and Google Business Profile.
  • Personalise and send drafted pitches to article writers, podcast hosts, and editors.
  • Prepare review-request emails, follow up on pitches, and log replies with evidence.

Site Foundations & Client Setup

  • Set up each new client in the platform: brand, competitors, topics, tracked prompts, location, and Analytics and Search Console connections.
  • Run the launch-month foundations check from the platform checklist: AI crawler access, content visible without JavaScript, schema, a clear About page, and visible dates.
  • Fix issues in the website's settings, using AI help on technical items, or write a clear change request for the client's developer.
  • Review the monthly re-check and fix anything that has slipped.
  • Flag drops, wins, and competitor moves to the lead.

Task Logging, Timesheets & Information Security

  • Log every task with its evidence, and mark each one done, dismissed, or moved.
  • Keep a daily timesheet by client and task.
  • Store every client login in the password manager, never in email or chat.
  • Work under the partner agency's name for agency-referred clients.

Learning & Continuous Improvement

  • Complete platform and playbook training, building towards the full trained workload.
  • Follow the team's playbooks and checklists, and apply feedback from the lead's reviews.
  • Stay current with changes in how AI assistants find and cite sources, and share what changes each month.
  • Suggest improvements to playbooks and checklists based on hands-on work.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Readiness and Digital Enablement

  • Maintain baseline AI literacy and use approved AI tools responsibly, in line with company policies, data privacy, information security, and client confidentiality obligations.
  • Apply sound judgment by validating outputs and avoiding overreliance, ensuring accuracy and accountability in all work delivered.
  • Participate in AI readiness trainings and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and responsible AI integration.
