Our client is a leading software solutions organisation, who specialise in empowering businesses with innovative technology solutions by providing SaaS solutions tailored to business needs.

They are currently hiring for an AI Engineer to build and maintain performant, secure web applications using Laravel, owning front-end integrations and back-end APIs to ship features quickly and economically. 


Location: On-site (Dubai, UAE) 

Type: Full-time


What You'll Do 

  • Develop scalable Laravel applications (API + server-rendered) using PHP 8+, Eloquent, queues, events, caching, and testing. 
  • Implement front-end features using Blade/Livewire or Inertia with Vue/React; integrate Tailwind CSS where applicable. 
  • Design and consume REST (or GraphQL) APIs; integrate 3rd-party services (payments, auth, storage). 
  • Optimize performance (query tuning, caching layers), security (OWASP, CSRF, XSS), and reliability (jobs, retries). 
  • Write automated tests (Pest/PHPUnit) and participate in code reviews & CI/CD. 


Must-Have Qualifications 

  • 3+ years professional Laravel experience; solid grasp of MVC patterns and Laravel ecosystem. 
  • Proficiency with MySQL/PostgreSQL, schema design, migrations, and Eloquent relationships. 
  • Front-end experience for different front-end tasks (Blade/Livewire or Inertia + Vue/React). 
  • Familiar with Composer, artisan, queues (Redis/SQS), storage, mail, and notifications. 
  • Comfortable with Git, Docker, and basic cloud deployments (Forge, Vapor, or AWS/GCP). 


Nice to Have 

  • Node.js for build tooling or services; WebSockets (Laravel Echo), SSE. 
  • DevOps basics (NGINX, CI/CD, observability). 
  • Caching (Redis), search (Meilisearch/Elasticsearch), and background workers. 
  • Writing clean APIs for consumption by mobile apps. 


Success Metrics 

  • Lead time to production and change failure rate within team targets. 
  • App performance (TTFB, query count) and error rate improvements. 
  • Test coverage and on-time delivery of roadmap features.
