Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Accountant / Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for a small group of related companies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with the business, handling real data across multiple entities, and presenting financial information in clear, practical, and decisionfriendly formats. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, tracking intercompany transactions, and supporting management with meaningful financial insights.
This is not a purely theoretical role, it requires strong attention to detail, ownership of numbers, and comfort operating independently.

Key Responsibilities
1. Core Accounting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts for multiple group entities
- Record income, expenses, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and balance sheets
- Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and working capital
- Support VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, filings, and documentation
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
2. Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliations
- Track and manage financial movements between group companies
- Record and reconcile:
o Intercompany loans and balances
o Management fees and license charges
o Partnership profit shares
o Interest calculations
o Cost allocations across entities
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
3. Reporting & Financial Insights
- Capture financial data accurately and consistently
- Prepare clear monthly financial summaries for management
- Present financial information using:
o Structured Excel reports
o Dashboards or accounting software outputs
o Simple, non-technical explanations
- Highlight key variances, risks, trends, and cash positions
4. Controls & Process Improvement
- Maintain internal controls and documentation
- Support audit preparation and external auditor coordination
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and reporting structures
Candidate Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage but not mandatory
Experience
- 5-10 years of hands-on accounting experience in UAE
- Proven experience managing multiple entities or group structures
- Strong exposure to intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Experience in UAE accounting environment, including VAT and Corporate Tax
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations)
- Experience with accounting software / ERP systems
- Ability to prepare clear, management-focused financial reports
