About the job Senior Process Engineer - LNG (Oil & Gas)
The Opportunity
This role functions as a technical specialist and/or supervisor on utility-scale gas, fuels, and chemicals (GFC) projects of medium to high complexity. You will independently develop and apply advanced engineering techniques, lead engineering staff within a single discipline, and mentor team members.
Location: Overland Park, KS (Kansas City) or Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Standards

Provide guidance on departmental design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes, and company policies.

Assist in developing and updating engineering standards.

Offer technical guidance across projects and disciplines.
Quality / Continuous Improvement

Establish processes and promote a quality-focused culture.

Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
Engineering Production
-
Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or large-scale projects.

Conduct research and make recommendations for equipment and material selection.

Oversee data collection, analysis, and engineering work management.

Prepare advanced engineering calculations and develop solutions to complex problems.

Review lower-level engineering work and manage assigned budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.

Lead production teams, coordinate multi-discipline activities, and serve as responsible charge for projects.
Project Coordination

Coordinate with internal and external team members.

Define project schedules for single or multiple disciplines.
Client Focus

Identify key client interests, needs, and drivers.

Communicate client requirements to project teams and develop approaches to meet their objectives.

Support business development and project pursuits as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with LNG or FLNG projects.

Working knowledge of HYSYS, Protreat, and Promax process simulation tools.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Strong written communication skills.

Ability to set priorities, plan effectively, and manage conflict.

Experience building effective teams.

Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable standards.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.

Minimum 11 years of relevant experience.

Ability to complete pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and compliance checks.
Certifications

Professional registration or licensure may be required depending on the role, or active pursuit of such registration is expected.
Work Environment / Physical Demands

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, depending on manager discretion and performance.

Typical office environment. May be subject to extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, or work on scaffolds in certain project environments.
