The Team
The Governments & Community practice partners with public-sector clients to deliver innovative, integrated planning, design, and construction solutions for critical infrastructure and environmental services. The team is recognized for its leadership in water supply, wastewater, and conveyance-related engineering services.
The Project Engineering Management group collaborates closely with clients to align people, processes, technologies, and data-driven insights to modernize water infrastructure, optimize asset performance, meet regulatory and performance goals, reduce costs, and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution

Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large or multiple concurrent projects

Support research and evaluation of equipment and material selections

Perform complex engineering calculations using established methods and standards

Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines

Lead production teams, coordinate cross-discipline activities, and serve as Engineer of Record or Responsible Charge as applicable
Client Interface

Identify key client priorities and project drivers for moderately complex projects

Communicate client needs and concerns to project teams and develop effective solutions

Support business development, proposal development, and pursuit activities

Manage project changes directly with clients under the direction of the Project Manager
Technical Leadership

Lead large, multi-discipline teams to successfully deliver project objectives

Provide technical guidance for complex and large-diameter water and wastewater conveyance projects

Drive practical, innovative solutions to meet project goals
Management Responsibilities

Review engineering work performed by junior and mid-level staff

Mentor team members and support performance management and professional development
Preferred Qualifications
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license
-
Prior engineering consulting experience

Demonstrated experience delivering multi-discipline water and wastewater conveyance projects
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience

Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record reviews, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Work Environment / Physical Demands

Hybrid or flexible work arrangements may be available after the first 90 days, based on business needs, performance, and manager discretion

Extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use

Ability to utilize video and audio conferencing tools for internal and external collaboration

Travel to client sites as required
