Staff Environmental Air Engineer

The Staff Environmental Air Engineer will contribute to a broad range of air quality and permitting projects within a dynamic environmental services practice, supporting industrial clients across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare air permit applications for large-scale projects, including Title V permits.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal air quality regulations.

  • Apply technical expertise across various complex industrial processes; experience in the refining industry is a plus.

  • Monitor and interpret changes in air permitting regulations, emission calculation methodologies, and compliance standards.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders; interest in international project work is welcomed.

  • Ability to contribute to business development by leveraging client relationships is preferred.

  • Support marketing efforts and participate in occasional travel.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

  • A Masters degree in a related field may substitute for one year of required experience.

  • Previous experience in consulting is preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and external professionals.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Must have a valid drivers license and meet applicable company driving standards.
