Responsibilities:
- Continuously learns and applies knowledge of design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes.
- Ensures compliance with quality programs and offers guidance to project team members.
- Prepares complex engineering deliverables and conducts research for equipment or material recommendations.
- Performs independent evaluations, develops engineering techniques, and manages assigned budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Oversees data collection, leads smaller production teams, and coordinates efforts across disciplines.
- Collaborates with internal and external teams on moderately complex projects.
- Identifies client needs, communicates them to project teams, and provides support for business development.
- Recognized as a technical specialist within the division and contributes to knowledge sharing and innovation efforts.
- Assists with mentoring, performance management, and career development of team members.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD and advanced knowledge of engineering design principles.
- Experience in utility-scale electrical transmission system design and structural design of transmission steel structures and foundations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build client relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search.
- Professional registration or licensure may be required depending on the role, or active pursuit of such registration.
