HVAC entry level

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass Client required background clearance.
• Valid Driver's License—Driving is required for this position.
• Overtime/Weekend work will be required occasionally.
• Industrial/Commercial HVAC experience with refrigeration and control systems.
• Must have good electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Adequate computer proficiency to operate job-related applications.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of HVAC vocational training or 5 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Universally EPA certified.
• Knowledge of using Laptop, and building automated system software.
• Ability to read blueprints: mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to maintain and install sheaves (pulleys), belts and bearings on AHU's
• Knowledge of working on AHU motors up to 100 hp.
• Ability to troubleshoot up to 480 Volts.

Responsibilities: 

• Services and repairs environmental control systems in office buildings and other commercial/industrial settings.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components.
• Strong computer skills required for troubleshooting and correcting digital control software.
• Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units with Pro-press, unions, solder, and brazing.
• Observes pressure and vacuum, gauges, and adjusts controls to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot joints and connects for leaks, using gauges or soap and water solution.
• Ability to do minor insulation repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical components, fuses, contractors, controls, etc.
• May service and repair air conditioners up to 200 tons of cooling capacity in buildings.
• Troubleshoot vav controls.
• Performs other duties as assigned such as electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance.
