Position: Manager Operations Projects
Qualifications:
- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
- At least 7 years experience in a related role, with 3 years at a unit managerial level or in a functional/specialist area
- Assertive, goal-oriented self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Creative and solutions-oriented
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Stress tolerant
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Medically fit to function in the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational
Advantageous:
- NQF 7 (Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Mining Engineering
- Completion of a Middle/Executive Managerial Leadership Programme
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to business planning and company strategy to improve competitiveness, profitability, and growth
- Recognizing and anticipating operational, technical, and safety challenges, taking action to prevent or overcome them, and seeking continuous improvement
- Participating in the estimation and preparation of cost budgets for projects or sub-projects and monitoring and controlling actual costs against budget
- Proposing capital expenditure projects when required to expand capacity or improve operations
- Contributing to project initiation, scope definition, and scope change control
- Leading and driving Underground Operations continuous improvement projects and initiatives
- Driving a culture of Safety ownership with a strong emphasis on behaviour-based safety
