Role Summary

We are seeking a high-performing, results-driven Account Executive / Senior B2B Sales Development Manager with strong experience in B2B technology, SaaS, cloud, or cybersecurity sales. This remote/hybrid role is focused on driving net new business, expanding existing accounts, and managing strategic reseller/channel partnerships for a leading South African email security and cloud communications provider.

The successful candidate will work closely with technical, product, and marketing teams to position cybersecurity, email archiving, compliance, and cloud-based communication solutions to enterprise and mid-market clients. This role requires a hunter mentality, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities across enterprise and mid-market segments.
  • Strong cold-calling and outbound prospecting focus.
  • Drive revenue growth through targeted outbound prospecting, networking, and strategic channel development.
  • Execute a structured sales process from lead generation through to closed-won deals.

Account Management & Growth

  • Manage and expand existing client accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and renewals.
  • Build long-term client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers and reseller partners.
  • Maintain high levels of customer engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

Channel & Partner Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop reseller/channel partners including VARs, MSPs, distributors, and OEMs.
  • Collaborate with partners on go-to-market initiatives, pipeline generation, and enablement activities.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and strategic account planning sessions.

Sales Execution & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations and customer consultations alongside technical teams.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and manage the full sales cycle remotely.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasting, and pipeline reporting.

Collaboration & Market Awareness

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, customer support, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends in cybersecurity, SaaS, email security, compliance, and cloud technologies.
  • Confidently articulate business value propositions against competitive solutions.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales, Account Executive, or Sales Development role within SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, or IT services.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle remotely, from prospecting to closing.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and channel/reseller partners.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and communicate cybersecurity and cloud-based solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel when required.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with email security, compliance, email archiving, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Previous experience selling into regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.
  • Experience managing channel ecosystems including VARs, MSPs, or distributors.
  • Consultative sales approach with a strong client-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and support teams.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in high-pressure sales environments.
