Deliverables:

  • Accelerate onboarding of Google Cloud, ensuring alignment with the branch's multi-cloud strategy.
  • Implement security controls and compliance automation leveraging Google Cloud's native and third-party solutions. Complete CSA TRA and Privacy reviews.
  • Design and build a GCP environment hosted in Canada.
  • Ensure environment is fully implemented matching GO-ITS standards.
  • Direct partnership with cyber security throughout the implementation.
  • Create pipelines for infrastructure deliver of the google cloud services for the OPS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enhance Google cloud environment configuration and delivery pipelines through infrastructure-as-code.
  • Integrate and secure Google cloud services to support application modernization and platform resilience.
  • Develop and refine reusable technology patterns for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and emerging capabilities like generative AI.
  • Advance GoCLOUD product maturity by implementing roadmap-driven features and supporting target architecture.
  • Contribute to product planning, service documentation, process optimization, and internal communication strategies.


Must Have:

NOTE: The Hiring Team is looking for a candidate who is technically hands-on with experience in designing/architecting.

  • Expert with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) core services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, etc.) and demonstrated ability to quickly apply GCP services effectively.
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture design and best practices Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Ability to automate deployment pipelines (CI/CD) Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE).
  • Designing secure access controls and role-based permissions (IAM) Implementing network security (firewalls, VPNs, private connectivity).
  • Candidates should have strong security experience and the ability to rapidly implement GCP-specific security controls.​
  • Project management experience in large-scale, enterprise-level IT/cloud projects.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong project leadership skills and the ability to adapt quickly to GCP-specific processes and governance frameworks.​
