Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Works with both staff and patients to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Enforces evidence-based policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Supervises staff; assists in selection of personnel for hire; performance management and makes recommendations on discipline and termination.
- Responsible for executing strategic initiatives including but not limited to scheduling of cases, supplies, and equipment, case turnover, intra-departmental handoffs, or patient discharge process.
- Other related duties as assigned.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations. Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Computer skills are required.
- Must demonstrate strong process improvement, problem resolution, and effective communication skills allowing effective collaboration with physicians, other professional stakeholders, community individuals, and volunteers.
Must haves:
- 3 -5 years minimum RN experience in Special Procedures, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1-year progressive leadership experience (Preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
(BSN preferred) - RN - Current State of AZ Nurse license or an RN license from a compact state with multi-state privileges.
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 3 months of hire or transfer into a job
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Interested in growing a department
- The RN manager will step in to do pre- and post.
- There are 2 rooms, one for Cath and IR.
- Min 1 year in progressive leadership in Special procedures.
- Great opportunity for a seasoned Cath Lab RN to move into a leadership role.
