Who is our Client?

Our client is a is a German publicly traded company based in Berlin. Currently at a start-up phase to launch and scale a new food tech brand in Japan.

They are looking for a Digital Marketing Associate with a strong focus on social who will be a part of the marketing team, responsible of planning and developing the company's relationship focused growth channels Influencer, Affiliates and Partnerships to enter and scale in the Japan market.

What would you be doing?

To succeed in this role, you should be a data-driven digital marketer that can connect with all audiences, with a passion for forming professional relationships and an innovative approach to optimising business opportunities.

• End-to-end management of local digital channels including but not limited to: LINE, Yahoo! Japan and Twitter
• Take a strategic and pragmatic approach to scaling and optimizing channels to meet conversions, CAC, ROI and budget goals
• Develop continuous test and learn plans including creative, bidding and segmentation; adapting global best practices and sharing back local learnings with global teams
• Collaborate and build relationships with internal teams (Brand, Marketing Analytics, Online Marketing and Design), as well as external partners (LINE, Yahoo! Japan, Twitter, performance agencies)
• Investigate and identify other high potential opportunities to test (new digital channels, channel innovation)

Who you are...

• BA or Masters Degree from a top university in Business, Economics, Marketing, Stats, Engineering or quantitative or analytical field
• At least 2+ years of online marketing experience with exposure to LINE and/or Yahoo! Japan platforms
• Digitally savvy with understanding of digital marketing disciplines (display, search, video, PPC)
• Highly analytical, you know where to find the data you need as well as how to generate data-based actionable insights and recommendations for performance uplift
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions and cultures and in geographically dispersed teams
• Highly self-motivated individual with a hands-on mentality
• Ability to work and prioritize essential tasks in a very fast-paced environment and proactiveness in the face of ambiguity.
• Language Requirement:
  • Fluency in Japanese to communicate with local vendors and stakeholders
  • Business level English to communicate with global leadership and counterparts
• A big plus to have experience in any of the following fields: Paid Social (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube), Google Search/Display, Ad Networks, Programmatic Trading
• Experience working with Digital Performance Agencies
