At Dijitally, we help ambitious brands grow by building digital experiences that connect with people. Right now, we're looking for a Mid-Level Web Developer to join our team on a freelance basis and help bring ideas to life across a range of client projects.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments, is passionate about clean, functional code, and has an eye for detail when it comes to design and user experience.
The Role & Working Environment
This is a 10-week freelance engagement, averaging 25 hours per week. Its a remote-first and flexible company, open to applicants across Australia and New Zealand. You'll work alongside a close-knit, growing team that prides itself on clarity, craft, and making an impact.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
- Deploy applications to modern cloud services such as Vercel.
- Partner with designers to translate Figma prototypes into pixel-perfect builds.
- Integrate and customise online CMS tools (bonus points if you've worked with Contentful).
- Write clean, maintainable CSS and ensure consistency across breakpoints and devices.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to improve performance, scalability, and usability.
What you'll bring
- Hands-on experience with React and Next.js (this is your bread and butter).
- A strong grasp of responsive design and attention to detail when it comes to front-end execution.
- Proficiency in CSS (including styled-components); familiarity with Tailwind CSS is a plus.
- Confidence working with Figma and collaborating with design teams.
- An understanding of web optimisation best practices (bonus: some SEO know-how).
- A collaborative mindsetyou enjoy problem-solving alongside Developers, Designers, and PMs.
