About the job Motorcycle Technician
Our client is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Technician to join their team. This is a full-time opportunity for a B-level technician or higher, with strong interest in experienced Master Technicians. The technician will work on both on-road and off-road units, with a primary focus on Yamaha, Suzuki, and Can-Am.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have hands-on motorcycle repair experience and be comfortable working across different types of units. Our client is a Can-Am Platinum Dealer and is looking for a technician who is familiar with Can-Am products or willing to continue training and developing their skills with the brand.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of motorcycles, ATVs, and other recreational equipment in a busy dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair on-road and off-road motorcycles
- Perform maintenance and repairs on dirt bikes, ATVs, and other recreational units
- Work primarily with Yamaha, Suzuki, and Can-Am products
- Service Can-Am Spyder and Ryker three-wheel on-road units
- Perform basic service and repairs across other major brands
- Accurately document repairs and services performed
- Clock on and off each job to accurately track time on repair orders
- Use dealership-provided laptops and tablets throughout the workday
- Follow manufacturer procedures, dealership processes, and safety standards
- Maintain an organized and professional work area
- Continue developing technical knowledge through manufacturer and dealership training
Qualifications
- B-level motorcycle technician experience required
- Master Technician experience is highly valued
- Experience working on both on-road and off-road motorcycles
- Yamaha and/or Suzuki experience strongly preferred
- Can-Am experience, particularly Spyder or Ryker, is a plus
- ATV experience is preferred
- Personal watercraft experience is a plus
- Experience with additional brands such as Honda, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Indian, or Victory is helpful
- Must have your own basic hand tools and toolbox
- Comfortable using laptops, tablets, and digital repair-order systems
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to continue training and expand knowledge across different brands and equipment
Schedule
The standard schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The shop operates on a rotating schedule, with each technician receiving a Monday through Friday schedule and Saturday off at least once per month.
Tools & Equipment
Technicians are responsible for providing their own basic hand tools and toolbox. Our client provides specialty and manufacturer-specific tools, along with the laptop and tablet needed to manage repair orders and track work throughout the day.
