Job Title: Injection Molding Engineer / Process Engineer

Location: Ireland (Positions in Dublin, Limerick, and Waterford)

Overview:

As an Injection Molding Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing injection moulding processes specifically for medical devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with industry regulations. Your expertise in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing will contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop injection moulding processes tailored for medical device applications.

- Collaborate with product managers, R&D teams, and other engineers to define and validate project requirements and specifications.

- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments to inform design and process decisions.

- Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, process parameters, and operating instructions.

- Perform trials and validations of moulding processes to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.

- Troubleshoot and resolve moulding issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Process or related field).

- Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience in the medical device industry or similar high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environments.

- Strong background in injection moulding design and processes.

- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant tools).

- Solid understanding of materials and processing techniques for injection moulding.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
