Job Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing refrigeration systems, focusing on ammonia-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for industrial refrigeration applications, primarily focusing on ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct thermal and fluid flow analysis to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and impact assessments for proposed refrigeration solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, specifically within the industrial refrigeration sector, with a focus on ammonia systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and experience with thermal and fluid dynamics analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycle principles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
