Role Description

Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for delivering value-driven accounting services to a portfolio of rapidly growing retail, e-commerce, and professional services brands.

This is a full-time, remote role for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. The role requires that you are available during client business hours. In this position, you will manage a portfolio of clients and will be responsible for delivering high-quality work directly to clients while performing day-to-day bookkeeping, general accounting tasks, and managing team workflows.

This includes maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts payable and receivable. They will be responsible for executing weekly, monthly, and year-end deliverables, while utilizing a cutting-edge technology platform that delivers exceptional data insights and optimizes workflows.

Client Work

You will join a team assigned to a portfolio of the firms premier clients, within which you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all monthly client work, deliverables, and deadlines

  • Manage direct reports to complete workflows within the allotted time and meet client-specific deadlines

  • Reviewing team members' work for accuracy; Reviewing full month-end and year-end close and delivering results directly to client

  • Preparing monthly general ledger, P&L, and B/S for review

  • Leveraging available internal teams (HR, fractional CFO, CEO, CPA, etc.) to boost team efficiency and grow value-add to the client

  • Utilizing internal resources to maintain growth forecast models

  • Managing the A/P and A/R process with clients

  • Payroll processing and bank reconciliation

  • Addressing urgent client issues that require same-day response

  • Coordinating clients through their monthly, quarterly and annual tax filing


Qualifications

  • 5-10 years experience in full-charge bookkeeping required

  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, MS Excel, and Google Workspace Apps

  • Strong Coordination and planning skills to manage behind-the-scenes team workflows while maintaining front-end client-facing relationships

  • Self-motivated, adept at working independently and proactively while maintaining Creative Business Inc Internal Operating Procedures

  • 3-5 years of experience working with a multi-client portfolio

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and general accounting tasks

  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

  • Comfortable speaking with executive-level clients

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in the creative industry is a plus
