Job Overview:
Save Our Wildlife Foundation Incorporated is seeking a passionate and dedicated Possum Carer to join our team. As a Possum Carer, you will be responsible for providing care and rehabilitation to injured or orphaned possums in our care. This is a volunteer position.
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide daily care and rehabilitation for injured or orphaned possums - - 

Monitor the health and well-being of possums under your care  

- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian 

- Prepare and provide appropriate diets for possums, based on their individual needs 

- Maintain clean and sanitary living conditions for possums 

- Monitor and record possums' progress and behavior 

- Assist with the release of rehabilitated possums back into the wild 

- Educate the public about possums and their importance in the ecosystem 

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the best possible care for possums
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in wildlife rehabilitation or animal care is preferred 

- Knowledge and understanding of possum behaviour, diet, and care requirements 

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment 

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

- Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects 

- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays 

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
