Job Title: Electrical Training Instructor (Remote – Anywhere in the USA)

Position Overview

You will deliver high-quality custom and standard training programs to customers nationwide. This includes preparing and delivering dynamic lectures, leading hands-on labs, moderating engaging classroom discussions, and assessing student performance. You will use your experience and independent judgment to constantly improve existing courses and develop new training solutions that meet customer needs while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding technical training (in-person and virtual) using NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, IEEE, ANSI, ASTM, ANSI/NETA, OSHA, and other relevant standards.
  • Create and continuously enhance training materials and curriculum.
  • Lead practical laboratory exercises and ensure students gain real, applicable skills.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through professional, engaging instruction.
  • Stay hungry for new knowledge and best practices in both electrical engineering and adult education.

Qualifications – We Need Someone Who Is:

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years of instruction/teaching, public speaking, or formal training experience in an adult education environment (strongly preferred)
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred)
  • 15+ years of hands-on low voltage industrial installation & troubleshooting experience
  • 15+ years of low voltage residential installation & troubleshooting experience
  • 15+ years of low voltage electronics installation & troubleshooting experience

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong command of basic and advanced electrical/electronic theory
  • Excellent working knowledge of electrical terms, branch circuits, grounding, wiring methods, conductor ampacity, motor circuits, motor controls, PLCs, drives, overcurrent protection, and related calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, one-line diagrams, mechanical prints, and technical documentation
  • Thorough understanding of electrical shock, arc flash hazards, boundary calculations, safety regulations, and proper use of PPE
  • Knowledge of low voltage circuit breakers (installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting)
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and Adobe
  • Outstanding communication and customer relationship skills
  • Skilled in the use of basic tools
  • Valid Driver's License and passport
