Job Summary
The Development Operations Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our nonprofit organizations fundraising and development initiatives. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of various development programs at our Mason City location. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in relationship management, strategic planning, and company growth.

Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead, manage, and hold people accountable.
  • Participate with agency leadership in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization.
  • Identify, assess, and inform the Board of Directors of internal and external issues that affect the organization.
  • Advocate for the needs of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness on the local, state and national level.
  • Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with individuals, community groups, funding organizations, politicians, and other organizations
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate agency strategic plan, to meet annual goals and objectives.
  • Represent company at state / regional professional conferences, coalition meetings, interagency meetings, and community meetings as needed.
  • Oversee agency core values and culture to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Research latest trends in programming to help develop new efficient ways to serve the populations.

Skills

  • Must demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize and plan work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to drive conflict and open conversation throughout the organization.
  • Ensure confidentiality is in place for all people FOF serves.
  • Bachelors Degree in human services, public administration, business leadership or comparable education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the following preferred: victim services, homelessness, or EOS.
  • Ability to travel throughout the FOF service area to provide in-person outreach services and to other locations within the state as necessary for training purposes.
  • Ability to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
  • Understand the 6 components of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
