Speakable is an AI-powered platform helping K–12 schools in the U.S. bring speaking into the classroom. Our tools help language teachers engage students with interactive assignments, provide instant feedback, and save hours of grading time.

The Role

We’re hiring an Onboarding Specialist to join our Bogotá-based team and take ownership of the critical first steps in the customer journey. You’ll work closely with our CTO and the broader team to ensure that every new school or district customer is set up correctly, trained effectively, and actively using the platform in their first few weeks.

This is a hybrid role based out of our El Chico office in Bogotá. You’ll work 3 days per week in-office and 2 days remotely. You must be confident using professional English for 6–8 hours per day, including live meetings with U.S.-based teachers and administrators.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the onboarding experience. Lead kickoff calls, walk customers through next steps, and guide them through their first few weeks with Speakable.
  • Coordinate handoffs from sales. Gather relevant details, goals, and purchase info to ensure a smooth onboarding start.
  • Handle technical setup. Activate subscriptions, configure user accounts, and assist with LMS integrations (e.g., Google Classroom, Clever).
  • Lead training sessions. Host live training meetings via Google Meet, helping educators and school leaders get confident using the platform.
  • Monitor early usage. Track account activity, follow up with teams who need help getting started, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Be the go-to contact. Answer questions and keep communication flowing during the onboarding period.
  • Keep documentation clean. Record onboarding progress and customer details in our internal tools (e.g. Notion, HubSpot).

What We’re Looking For

  • Fluent, confident communicator in spoken and written English (you’ll be speaking with U.S.-based educators daily)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • 2+ years of experience in onboarding, implementation, customer success, or similar roles (SaaS or edtech is a plus)
  • Comfortable leading live meetings and explaining tools clearly
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Google Meet, and project tools like Clickup and HubSpot
  • Bonus if you have experience with K–12 education systems or LMS platforms like Google Classroom or Clever

Work Schedule

  • Based in Bogotá, working U.S. time zone hours
  • 3 days/week in-office (El Chico)
  • 2 days/week remote
