DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare desserts, pastries, and baked items for:
• Flavours Buffet
• Sunday Brunch À la carte service
• Banquets, catering, and hotel events
• Maintain consistent taste, portion size, and presentation.
• Produce both plated desserts and high-volume buffet items efficiently.
• Deliver desserts suited to Caribbean and international guests.
• Support the Head Chef in developing seasonal desserts, Weekend Specials, and holiday menus.
• Adjust recipes based on ingredient availability and cost considerations.
• Design desserts that are practical, scalable, and service-ready.
• Control food costs by proper portioning and reducing waste.
• Assist with ordering, storage, and stock rotation of pastry ingredients.
• Minimize spoilage through thoughtful planning and batch production.
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Keep pastry workstations and storage areas organized and compliant with hotel SOPs.
• Follow all HACCP and internal kitchen procedures.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with basic training of junior kitchen staff when required.
• Provide operational support during peak periods, weekends, and major events.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

• 2–4 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering kitchen preferred.
• Buffet and banquet experience is an asset.
• Caribbean hospitality experience is an advantage.

WORK SCHEDULE

• 5 days per week - Rotation may require working on weekends and holidays.
• Shifts are scheduled from 6am to 3pm, 2pm to 11pm.

RENUMERATION

• Monthly Salary is based on experience.
