About the job Millwright
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Millwright to join our Client's maintenance team.
Job Summary:
The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision alignment experience, and the ability to work from blueprints and technical manuals in fast-paced, production environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, dismantle, and move machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, turbines, gearboxes, compressors, and production machinery.

Perform precision alignments of motors, shafts, and couplings using dial indicators and laser alignment tools.

Assemble and install mechanical components such as bearings, seals, chains, belts, and gear systems.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks and assist in creating maintenance schedules.

Operate hoists, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment to move and position heavy machinery safely.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and inspections.

Follow all company and OSHA safety standards and participate in safety training and meetings.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required; completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical school program preferred.
2+ years of experience as a millwright in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Skilled in using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in physically demanding environments.

Willingness to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
Preferred Certifications:

Millwright Journeyman Certification (or equivalent)

OSHA 10/30 or other safety training

Forklift, aerial lift, or rigging certifications
