About the job Design and customer experience Leader

​Purpose of the job: Bridge between Product, Technology and the commercial side, to understand desired outcomes, elicit requirements, and then translate them into coherent customer experience


Responsibilities

  • Influences Product strategy and vision with customer behavior- and design-related insights and expertise

  • Define and drive the overall Domain UX design direction and customer journey. Lead and supports both designers and product leads throughout the domain to ensure an excellent and coherent customer experience.
  • Approach Design strategically and apply data-driven approaches that guide design choices. Use and teach relevant techniques for product discovery and hypothesis-driven product development (for example A/B testing)
  • Align and work closely with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. UX Designers, Product Owners, Function Leaders, Business sponsors) to ensure a customer centric and aligned design direction
  • Oversee UX/UI specialist to:

           - Produce and review wireframes and story boards for digital products

           - Lead persona development, usability testing, contextual inquiry, and task analysis

           - Build prototypes and design tests to validate customer needs, requirements and behaviors

Typical skills and background

Skills

  • Strong Graphical and Visual design skills

  • Long experience in design and from a variety of interactive design formats and methodologies (e.g. mobile/tablet apps, websites and immersive experiences)
  • Deep understanding of how to make data informed product decisions and translate customer or business insights into a product vision.
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
  • Solid experience of using the latest techniques for product discovery and hypothesis-driven product development
  • Deep understanding and experience of Agile product development 
  • Skilled communicator with experience of forming alliances and bringing together multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to execute on a common mission

Experience

  • >5 years of experience in experience design

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent area
  • Experience in prototyping tools (Marvel, Invision, Axure) and design tools: (Sketch, Adobe Suite, Craft), as well as research tools
  • Well-rounded user-centred design portfolio that spans some combination of web, mobile, tablet, and wearables
