Position: Administrative-Insurance Specialist Liaison
Skills and Abilities: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Accounts Insurance. Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and abilities:
Insurance Expertise: Proficiency in navigating insurance processes, including claims submission, verification, and resolution.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage patient accounts and insurance documentation efficiently.
Problem Solving: Ability to analyze insurance issues and resolve them promptly and accurately.
Customer Service: A patient-focused approach to provide top-notch customer service and assistance to patients with insurance-related inquiries.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is a plus.
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Knowledge of healthcare insurance policies and regulations is preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare administrative role with a focus on patient accounts and insurance coordination.
Familiarity with insurance billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel preferred
Proven track record of successfully resolving insurance-related issues and ensuring accurate claims processing.
Experience working collaboratively with healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate seamless communication.
Experience with 837i or 837p and HIPAA transaction sets such as CPT/HCPCS, revenue codes, ICD9 or ICD10, CARC or CAS codes preferred
