Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in operating and maintaining cardiovascular imaging equipment.
  • Expertise in EKG, stress testing, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound procedures.
  • Ability to assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

  • Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and infection control measures.

  • Excellent patient interaction and bedside manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • State licensure as required by the state of employment.

  • CPR/BLS certification.

  • Prior experience in a cardiovascular technologist role preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal specific training in the approved Imaging Technology Program, as relevant to assigned modality (Copy of academic degree/transcript required upon hire if performing Moderate Complexity Testing)
  • Requires current registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)

Certification Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • ACLS

  • ACLS (AHA)

  • ARRT

  • BLS

  • BLS (AHA)

State License Requirements:

  • Must possess or obtain state licensure as required by the state of employment.
