Required skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, technology management, business management, information systems, or similar
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a the healthcare industry
- Advanced knowledge of the full life cycle of software/product development
- Ability to collaborate with Business and IT engineers and translate business requirements into technical terms and vice versa
- Extensive experience in software product engineering, deployment, and integration
- Ability to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues
- Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of technical product development
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
What you need to know:
As the Technical Program Manager, you will lead and manage all technical initiatives for the Implementation/Operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for initiating technical implementation programs, tracking their progress, and serving as the main support provider for the day-to-day operational issues. This includes managing through all aspects of both business and IT development lifecycles using industry-standard practices such as risk management, project scheduling, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will drive the IT and Data Exchange implementation workstreams internally & externally combining technological expertise and business knowledge to promote innovative solutions and enable successful implementations.
Primary functions for this role:
- Create project plans for IT/Data Exchange workstream; tracking data, system and reporting deliverables, technical issues and implement solutions in a prompt manner
- Effectively communicate project status and suggest changes to process to ensure efficient execution
- Propose solutions to technical constraints using technical expertise and experience, as well as provide expertise for escalated quality problems, and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle
- Identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements
- Define strategies, regularly participate in operation readiness and leadership meetings to present progress, risks, and share project information with others within the organization
- Monitor timeliness of data feeds and reporting both inbound and outbound
- Identify and resolve data issues impacting timelines
- Collaborate with IT and business to perform analyses needed, and drive issues to resolution
- Work closely with data owners to identify and resolve data issues and their associated root cause
- Track and report progress of activities to implementation program managers
