Senior Accountant Fixed Assets Experience Required
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and a keen eye for detail. This role is responsible for examining, analyzing, and maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP, and plays a key part in the month-end close and financial reporting process. Experience managing fixed assets is a MUST.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure financial statement integrity.

Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries.

Own the fixed assets process, including additions, disposals, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations.

Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting data.

Provide support during audits by gathering necessary documentation and responding to auditor requests.

Mentor and support Staff Accountants as needed.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting.

Fixed assets experience is required.

Strong understanding of the month-end close process and GAAP.

Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations.

Proficiency with large ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.

Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets.

SQL experience is a plus.
