Compensation

  • Base salary up to $160K +/-
  • Bonus up to 20%

Position Overview

The Controller will lead all accounting operations, optimize Sage Intacct, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting while driving system and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, reporting)
  • Own month-end close and financial reporting
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
  • Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures
  • Optimize Sage Intacct reporting, dashboards, and workflows
  • Build and enhance revenue segmentation reporting
  • Utilize advanced Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
  • Support ERP/system improvements and implementations
  • Manage audits and coordinate with external CPA firm
  • Oversee multi-state sales tax compliance (Avalara a plus)
  • Manage payroll for ~1,500 employees (Paycom preferred)
  • Support M&A / post-acquisition integrations
  • Lead and develop a team (~6 direct reports)

Qualifications

  • CPA required
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in high-growth / scaling environments (required)
  • Sage Intacct expertise (required)
  • Advanced Excel (heavy daily usage required)
  • Strong technical accounting and systems mindset
  • ERP experience (implementation experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Paycom and/or Avalara (preferred)
  • Experience with revenue segmentation reporting
  • Audit experience and CPA firm interaction
  • Proven leadership, grit, and resilience
