About the job Schedule Planner - Material Planning and Control
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Schedule Planner to support critical materials and production planning functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating the flow of materials to ensure seamless production schedules, on-time delivery, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on role with high visibility on the shop floor and direct impact on the success of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of materials to support production, service parts, and inter-facility needs.
- Develop, adjust, and execute efficient production schedules based on shifting priorities and lead times.
- Use SAP-PP to maintain accurate scheduling data and support material planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production and delivery timelines.
- Communicate effectively to resolve delays and ensure materials are in place to meet deadlines.
- Utilize legacy systems like CWIS to support ongoing service parts operations.
- Support change control processes and adapt material plans as updates occur.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as supply chain, operations, or business management.
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment is a plus.
- Recent graduates with relevant coursework or internships are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable working on your feet on shop floor (up to 90% of the time).
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with SAP-PP or other ERP systems.
- Exposure to legacy systems such as CWIS.
- Understanding of change control and production planning processes.
- Previous experience in scheduling or materials planning roles.
Additional Information
- Onsite interviews will be required; business casual attire is expected.
- Candidates must bring or be prepared to use metatarsal foot protection on their first day.
- This position may involve driving a company vehicle (e.g., a utility cart) on the shop floor after completing required safety training.
- Start time between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM
- Overtime may be required, including extended weekday hours or weekend work. Flexibility for off-shift support is expected as needed.
