About the job Material Flow Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Flow Coordinator to join our onsite team. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials from source to point of use, supporting a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to collaborate across departments, and a solid understanding of inventory and material flow processes. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates in Supply Chain or Business, or individuals with hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, or logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of materials from source locations to production areas, ensuring timely availability and resolving any part shortages.
- Trigger Kanbans to support continuous material replenishment on the production line.
- Utilize SAP transactions to manage material movement and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Supply Management, Production Control, and Material Handling to address shortages, expedites, and change management.
- Perform on-the-spot part counts and support inventory audits.
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment on the production floor.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Understanding of inventory management principles.
- Exposure to Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with material flow and process optimization.
- Experience conducting audits or implementing process improvements.
Additional Information:
- Schedule: First Shift (6:00 AM 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM 4:00 PM); some overtime may be required.
- Onsite from day one presence on the production floor is essential.
- Internal metatarsal safety shoes required starting the first day.
