Manufacturing Engineer Material Replenishment
Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Manufacturing Engineer to lead material replenishment and flow initiatives within a dynamic production environment. This role is critical to ensuring material availability, optimizing production support systems, and aligning supply chain strategies with manufacturing goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in ERP systems, cross-functional communication, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute robust material flow strategies to ensure on-time material delivery and packaging accuracy
- Own and manage replenishment processes at both the product line and factory levels
- Utilize SAP to perform systematic setup and tactical updates for material planning and inventory control
- Act as the material flow liaison for large-scale factory initiatives, including new product development, line rate changes, and capacity planning
- Serve as the primary point of contact for material flow issues within assigned production areas
- Plan, lead, and coordinate process improvements and system changes across production lines or factory-wide
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations role
- Exposure to multiple functional areas such as engineering, supply chain, production, quality, or warehousing
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn systems like SAP IM/WM, Production Planning, and Materials Management
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement solutions
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence across departments and teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, and Demand Flow Technology
- 13 years of hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse processes and transactions
- Prior experience leading process improvement initiatives or change management projects
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
