Onsite Position | 50% Floor Presence Required

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Professional to support our high-volume warehousing and distribution operations during swing shift hours. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment by leading comprehensive accident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions that effectively reduce operational risk. This position bridges 1st and 2nd shift safety efforts, providing hands-on floor presence, training deployment, and compliance support to drive a strong safety culture across shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and implement meaningful corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and deliver OSHA-compliant and company-specific safety training to 2nd shift employees.
  • Provide daily support to shop floor employees and leaders, promoting hazard identification and control strategies.
  • Maintain and track mobile equipment certifications to ensure employee compliance and operational safety.
  • Serve as a resource for audits, safety observations, and risk assessments, promoting continuous improvement across the shift.
  • Partner with the 1st shift Safety team to ensure seamless communication and coverage across all operational hours.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field - or - significant experience in a manufacturing safety role with proven results.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments leading investigations and implementing corrective actions to reduce safety risks.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training content for compliance and safety culture reinforcement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and tracking safety metrics.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Metatarsal safety boots are required on day one (not reimbursable).
  • Must be comfortable spending 50% of work hours on the shop floor, engaging directly with employees and supervisors.
  • This is a fully onsite position.
