Position: Shipyard Industrial Painter

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Shipyard Industrial Painter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting various marine vessels and structures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary

- Apply paint and other coatings using various methods including spray, brush, and roller

- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishing

- Maintain and clean painting equipment

- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

- Monitor and maintain inventory of painting supplies and equipment

- Communicate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects

- Adhere to company and industry standards for quality and safety

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an industrial painter in a shipyard or marine environment

- Knowledge of different types of paint and coatings used in the maritime industry

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work

- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
