Location: This is a full-time position and Onsite M-F in Irving, TX

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct market analysis, peer company benchmarking and risk analyses by category.
  • Conduct contract and supplier management ensuring process and regulations compliance.
  • Maintain close relationships with buyers and planners to implement, communicate, and coordinate sourcings best practices, requirements and efforts.
  • Support documenting and implementing processes, systems, technology, policy, and governance for sourcing.
  • Prepare annual budget recommendations, partnering with commodity managers to combine market and commodity knowledge. Explain variations to budget.
  • Understand market forces and track various indices to ensure costs are in line with market movements.
  • Prepare monthly summary package for senior execs. 
  • Provide Sales force with reporting on market drivers of costs, related to raw materials and shipping, to facilitate finished good price discussions with customers.
  • Perform monthly accrual updates of supplier rebates, and partner with commodity managers to ensure timely rebate payment from suppliers.
  • Quantify values of projects proposed by commodity managers, suppliers, internal operations, etc., and make recommendations
  • Oversee tracking and reporting of savings projects.
  • Evaluate supplier payment terms to ensure cohesion between divisions. Make recommendations on terms improvements. Track impact of changes in discounts and days payable.
  • Analyze savings opportunities related to Merge and Acquisitions. 
  • Quantify results of actual acquisition savings and drive tracking.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • 10% travel

What You'll Bring:

  1. Bachelors Degree (requirement) Supply Chain or Business Degree preferred.

  2. Minimum 7 years experience in Procurement.

  3. Highly analytical and detail oriented

     
  4. High-intermediate/expert level in MS Excel required
  5. Experience and comfort with presenting to senior-level executives

  6. Proven track record of coaching and development.

  7. Strong track record of positive results with internal customers

  8. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Epicor, and/or AS400 a plus

  9. Logistics knowledge and experience a plus.
