Position Overview
A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support day-to-day inventory accuracy across raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing experience and direct, hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for inventory transactions. This role offers visibility, ownership, and growth opportunities as the company continues to scale and mature its inventory systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (required)
- Experience managing raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Comfortable working on the production floor and in warehouse settings
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metals, aluminum, extrusion, or fabrication manufacturing
- Experience with cycle counting programs and inventory audits
- Familiarity with barcode or scanner-based inventory systems
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Execute inventory transactions in D365, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments
- Support production by ensuring material availability and accurate inventory locations
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to manage inventory flow
- Track material movement, lot control, and traceability as required
- Identify root causes of inventory variances and support corrective actions
- Assist with audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy
