About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you'll operate advanced CNC laser cutting machines to create high-precision parts used in critical industries including aerospace, infrastructure, and construction. Key Responsibilities
· Machine Setup & Operation Set up and run CNC laser machines using blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
· Precision Cutting Cut a variety of materials primarily metal with consistent quality, using laser equipment to meet tight tolerances.
· Monitoring & Adjustments Continuously monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments (speed, power, focus) for peak efficiency and cut quality.
· Troubleshooting & Maintenance Quickly resolve basic machine or software issues to avoid downtime. Conduct routine checks to ensure machine functionality.
· Quality Inspection Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect finished parts and confirm compliance with quality standards.
· Team Communication Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure workflow and production goals are met.
· Safety First Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or GED required. CNC or manufacturing certifications are a plus.
· Experience: Previous experience operating CNC laser machines is highly preferred. Familiarity with Trumpf, Amada, or similar systems is a bonus.
· Skills:
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
o Mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting
o Strong attention to detail
o Team-focused with good communication skills
o Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely
