Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Must be able to prioritize labor needs and create work schedules.

Recommends cost-saving measures when necessary.

Performs quality checks on production using various measurement tools and techniques.

Follows and enforces safety procedures to prevent injuries.

Responsible for training and maintaining a quality system.

Should be a strong leader, motivator, and communicator, assisting the Production Manager in achieving company goals.

Oversees cross-training programs and rotations.

Ensures smooth material and sub-assembly flow to final production.

Attends departmental production meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have experience managing workflow and leading a department.

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent experience/training.

Thorough knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, etc.) required.

Must be proficient with tape measures, basic hand tools, and power tools.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memos.

Strong skills in presenting information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

Frequently required to stand while performing duties.

Occasionally needs to lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
