Advantage Behavioral Healthcare is hiring a Day Treatment Qualified Professional for a location in Chadbourn. The hours are 7:30 -3:30 Monday - Friday. This position will start in August 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care services and planned treatment intervention for children with management problems relating social, emotional, behavioral, and mental status.
  • Provide direct care services for individuals to meet the members needs in a respectful, affirming, and dignified manner to:
    • Insure the members physical and emotional safety,
    • Identify and build upon each members present strengths in functional skill areas, including academic, communication, social, self-care, problem solving, appropriate personal boundaries, and other interpersonal skill areas,
    • Cultivate each members strengths in less measurable yet critical areas, including developing a positive self-concept, a sense of safety and personal efficacy,
    • Assist the member to recognize and control inappropriate behavior,
    • Nurture the clients ability to build trusting and caring relationships,
    • Insure medical and dental needs are met per licensing, accreditation, and sound health standards.
  • Provide planned treatment intervention for individual members per the individual treatment plan and staff privileging.
  • Provide supportive group experiences through daily life events, psycho educational group processing, planned therapeutic outings/activities
  • Provide documentation of individual, family, and group services: daily progress notes, incident reports, medical and dental services, collaboration with stakeholders, etc.
  • Maintain up to date documentation, medical records, and compliance with agency and governing bodies
  • Participate as a member of a service team and an organization as directed and in cooperative, client-focused manner through team meetings, scheduling of workdays, participation in training events and multi-family group meetings.
  • Attend supervisions regularly.
  • All other duties assigned by director and/or designee.

Qualifications

  • One year of full-time experience working with children & adolescents with mental health diagnosis, required
  • an individual who holds a license, provisional license, or certificate issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession; or
  • a graduate of a college or university with a Masters degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, pre- or post-graduate degree accumulated supervised mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or
  • a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, pre- or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or
  • a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, pre- or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised mh/dd/sa experience with the population served
