Do you love numbers, data and reconciling nearly as much as Chocolate?  Chocolate Destinations Group is recruiting for an experienced, hands-on Finance/Account Officer at our stunning Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery. An amazing tourism venue, set on 40 beautiful acres in the Yarra Valley just 15 minutes from Lilydale. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will primarily focus on assisting with accounts and administrative tasks including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable and general office admin tasks working together with our small office team.   About You  This role is for you if you have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, who loves:  producing results and has a proven track record of successful positions in an accounts payable, administrative role in the tourism, hospitality and/or retail industries is advantageous but not essential  dealing with customer phone enquires and providing an amazing experience they’ll absolutely rave about, bringing a ‘can do’, fun attitude to work, life and your co-workers, all aspects of accounts payable administration, reconciliations, banking, data entry, thrives in a fast paced, energetic, dynamic environment – bored with the ho-hum, you love a busy, bustling place … working within an amazing location you can be proud of.   Your Role Working in a small finance team reporting to the Group Finance Manager from our Chocolate Destinations Group Yarra Valley site. You will be responsible for: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable - Accurately and efficiently manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner Data Entry - Accurately enter financial data into accounting software (MYOB) and spreadsheets. Assisting EOM processes (journals, reconciliation of GL, accruals, prepayments, credit card reconciliations, reconciliation of intercompany loans, assist in data entry of stocktakes) Management of Fixed Asset Registers Using Excel to intermediate level for daily reporting Cash Handling - Following set procedures, independently deposit and dispense floats, process change runs and keep records of all transactions for accurate balancing. Documentation - Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documentation. Customer Support - Address customer inquiries related to billing and payments in a professional and timely manner. Vendor Relations - Interact with vendors to resolve payment issues and maintain positive relationships. Ad Hoc Tasks - Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the team.   About Us Chocolate Destinations Group began with the establishment of the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamery in 2012 and has since expanded to Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamery and Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamery, with additional sites in planning.  Our customer service and high-quality standards, amazing festivals, ever-growing retail product range (all made on site) and vibrant all day restaurants make locals and travellers alike keen to return time and time again.
