 Job Description:

Business Advisory State government experience Hybrid/3 months with possible extension   Our client has a business advisory role requiring a strong communication and problem-solving analyst to act as the finance business partner to executive and senior management. The role provides business and financial advisory services for assigned divisions in the a government department and associated agencies. Advice includes deep dive financial analysis, labour analytics, internal budgeting and forecasting, project performance tracking, business case development and development of risk and savings plans. The role also involves preparing regular business performance presentations and engaging with senior stakeholders. You will identify, provide recommendations and implement agreed reporting and process enhancements to ensure desired business outcomes for stakeholders are achieved. This includes assisting with the preparation of the annual budget to facilitate the allocation of funding and preparing advice on complex financial and related issues in the form of briefs, reports and papers to respond to Departmental requests for information. You will also support ERP-related queries and reporting needs, ensuring data integrity through business improvement initiatives and build strong stakeholder relationships and implement reporting/process enhancements aligned with corporate and government objectives.   Suitable candidates will have relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, with advanced MS Excel and experience using financial systems such as SAP. You will have state government experience so you are able to work autonomously and hit the ground running. Importantly you will have strong analytical skills and be adept at collecting accurate information and data for the preparation and finalisation of accurate and detailed budgets, accounts and management reports in a timely manner. Experience successfully managing General Ledger accounts, month end and year end processes for nominated Divisions and entities and reconciling these with financial management reports is required.   Enquiries to Shiv on 0439 074 391 Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
