Future Kids Child Care and Kindergarten are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Centre Director to commence full time with an immediate start. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher or a highly experienced Diploma-qualified educator, who will lead and mentor a warm and nurturing team of educators. As the Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall operation, management, and administration of the service. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead the promotion of the centre, grow enrolments, recruit and mentor a passionate team, and foster strong community relationships. You will have a strong understanding and enthusiasm for early education and incorporating the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework into your program. Finally, you will be warm, respectful and professional in all interactions with children, families, colleagues and the wider community. Essential Criteria Minimum 5 years’ experience in an early childhood education leadership or centre management role Proven experience leading a centre through Assessment & Rating Availability to work shifts between 6:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday Qualification Requirements A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Teaching qualification as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates Current Victorian Working with Children Check Police check clearance Current Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations Early Childhood Certificate Current DoFoodSafely Certificate Required Skills Strong leadership skills, inclusive management style, ability to motivate and manage a team, confidently resolve conflicts, and make sound decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, build rapport and work collaboratively with staff, parents, and children. Strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Computer literate and comfortable using childcare management software and systems, email, and social media A comprehensive understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Basic knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and accounting. Familiarity with relevant licensing, health, safety, and educational legislations and regulations. Ability to identify and solve problems effectively, make sound judgments, and take appropriate action in high-pressure situations A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
