About the role The Anglican Diocese of Bunbury is seeking a Diocesan Secretary to join their team on a part-time basis. Based in Bunbury, WA 6230, the Diocesan Secretary is a key member of the executive leadership team and undertakes a key governance role ensuring the various entities that make up the Diocese of Bunbury comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of corporate governance. What you'll be doing Providing high-level strategic advice to and implementing policy decided by Synod and the various Diocesan Boards and Committees Advising the Board and senior leadership on corporate governance principles, director duties, and regulatory changes. Managing Synod, Board and Committee processes, including preparation of agendas, minutes, resolutions, and annual meeting schedules Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies Liaising between the Diocese, parishes, and other stakeholders on matters of governance and legal compliance Overseeing legal services engaged by and contracted to the diocese as directed by the Bishop Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans and organisational objectives Contributing to diocesan risk management and compliance frameworks What we're looking for Extensive experience in a senior corporate governance role, preferably within a religious or not-for-profit organisation Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work independently to achieve deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Familiarity with Anglican Church structures and governance processes Proficient in the use of office software, including Microsoft Office suite What we offer The Anglican Diocese of Bunbury is committed to the wellbeing and professional development of our employees.
