About Us Mercury Financial Group is an accounting firm that has operated in Queanbeyan for over 30 years.  We pride ourselves on our client focus and good old fashioned customer service to set ourselves apart from the normal advisor. Our team of 10 people is a collaborative group of competent professionals, all very good at what they do.  We need a Practice Manager that can provide help, support and leadership to ensure the office operates effectively.  Our retiring Practice Manager can provide an excellent handover to the successful candidate. The role is a full time position in our Queanbeyan office with ample parking.  It is a hands on role with a varied array of duties depending on what each day brings.   About the Role Main duties include: Oversee the daily running of the office Managing and assisting staff with competing work demands Maintaining and building relationships with clients and ensuring the highest level of client service and professionalism Ensuring sound and efficient practices and procedures throughout the office Supervise office staff including reception and admin support Support the Partner and Accountants with various tasks as required Liaising with ATO, ASIC, Banks etc to achieve results for our clients   About You A people person with good communication skills You will have strong customer service skills and a willingness to help people Have experience running a busy office environment with the ability to multitask Willingness to learn about the more technical aspects of an accounting firm Strong attention to detail Ability to solve problems as they arise A professional outlook in all dealings with staff, clients and external parties If you are a good communicator with great people skills and strong attention to detail then this could be your home. Experience in an accounting firm or the financial services sector would be advantageous but not necessary.  Any practice management experience in a professional environment would be looked upon favorably.
