Brisbane Centre for Post Natal Disorders (BCPND)/ Womens Ward   We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses who are interested in progressing their career with a Clinical Nurse position at Belmont Private Hospital’s combined Brisbane Centre for Postnatal Disorders (BCPND) and Women’s Unit. Established in 1991, the Brisbane Centre for Postnatal Disorders (BCPND) has been a leading provider of specialised care for women experiencing Perinatal mood disorders.   Belmont Private Hospital is a 185-bed acute mental health hospital with an established reputation for excellence in the delivery of a broad range of acute mental health services.  We offer a range of specialty and sub-specialties to meet the needs of the population. Our recent hospital expansion makes Belmont Private Hospital the second largest private mental health facility in Australia and the largest in Queensland. Selection criteria: ·         A sound and comprehensive knowledge of hospital administrative procedures and operational needs ·         Effectively lead, participate and support the staff of BCPND/ Womens Unit to deliver safe clinical services ·         Proactively identify needs for improvement and initiatives and drive continuous improvement ·         Planning, implementing, monitoring and recording performance ·         Demonstrate honesty, integrity and respect for internal and external stakeholders ·         Promote and monitor a safe work environment ·         Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory Mandatory Qualifications and requirements: ·         Full current registration with AHPRA ·         Experienced Mental Health Nurse ·         Strong focus on patient centred nursing care ·         Demonstrated high standards of professional and ethical practice ·         Focus on service improvement for delivery of excellent patient care and positive patient outcomes ·         Promote safety, security and personal integrity in the workplace Required personal competencies: ·         Effective time management and coordination skills ·         Awareness and practice of legislation affecting nursing practice and health care ·         Able to conduct a comprehensive and systematic mental health assessment ·         Ability to work with minimal supervision ·         All employees are required to complete and maintain their mandatory education and competencies in accordance with Belmont Private Hospital policies and procedures, Career progression is available as well as the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of mental health specialties and sub-specialties that are offered at Belmont.
