LGO 6 ( $93,992 - $100,332 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience. Our Purpose: Grow Townsville Our Values: Safety, Excellence, Respect, Value, Enjoyment About the Role The Data Analyst is responsible for understanding and presenting data using visualisation and reporting tools to provide unique insights and correlations into single or multiple data sources. The position works collaboratively within the Information Technology Services Section and more broadly within Council and the community to develop and implement Data and Analytics services to derive value for the community. About You The ideal candidate will be a professional with over seven years of experience in the information technology sector, including at least five years in a comparable role. Holding tertiary qualifications in a relevant IT discipline or possessing extensive, demonstrable expertise, they bring formal training or significant experience in both Service Management (ITIL) and Project Management. Their proficiency spans corporate Data and Analytics architecture, where they’ve successfully designed and deployed complex services across large, multi-disciplinary organisations. They excel in managing and interpreting vast datasets from diverse sources including finance, asset and works management, spatial/GIS systems, and HR, crafting insightful reports, models, and visualisations. With expert knowledge of business systems, data modelling, and software development, their strengths also include the delivery of Business Intelligence and Enterprise Modelling solutions. The candidate is a master communicator, adept at bridging technical and non-technical audiences through compelling dialogue and strategic engagement, and known for creatively solving complex challenges using cutting-edge technologies.
