Yarra is now seeking an experienced transformation leader to join as Manager Business Transformation. This critical role leads a well-regarded team of six and is responsible for delivering a rolling program of service reviews, embedding continuous improvement, and driving major initiatives aligned to long-term financial sustainability. The team also plays a key role in supporting Council’s ERP implementation and strategic process redesign. Reporting to the General Manager Governance, Communications and Customer Experience, the role offers a unique opportunity to shape the next chapter of Yarra’s transformation agenda. You will work closely with senior leaders and elected members to deliver both quick wins and enduring change, helping build a more agile, customer-focused and future-ready organisation. The ideal candidate brings a track record in business transformation, service planning and/or financial sustainability program management, ideally within a local government or complex service setting. Strong political acumen, executive influence, and the ability to translate strategy into action are essential. You’ll be equally comfortable with Councillor briefing, change management, community engagement, data driven decision making, working through complex system issues, or coaching your team to challenge the status quo. You will contribute to good governance, benefit management, and performance reporting to ensure strategic outcomes are delivered and sustained.
