Payroll Officer - Elderly Care

Elderly Care is a leading aged care provider with approximately 2,300 dedicated employees across multiple facilities in Queensland and Victoria. We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team on part time basis. As a Payroll Officer, you'll be reporting to the Human Resources Manager and be part of a supportive and experienced HR team delivering timely and accurate payroll processing, interpreting enterprise agreements, and ensuring high standards of compliance. Payroll processing is outsourced; you are expected to coordinate the process between Elderly Care and outsourced payroll provider. This role is required to work 24 hours per week, on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 8.30am till 5pm. Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:  · Coordinate with outsourced payroll processing team once all timecards have been approved by the workforce management team. · Prepare and produce a variety of reports as and when required. · Understand pay conditions. · Maintaining and archiving relevant payroll information (Location, Rates etc) · Manage and deal with payroll queries as and when required. · Maintain employee records including superannuation and ATO tax compliance. · Maintain data integrity within system ensuring it is accurate and up to date. · Onboarding, progression & offboarding employees in the HRIS system.   Required skills and experience for this role:  · 2+ years’ experience in payroll (desirable but not essential) · Strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, and payroll regulations. · Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. · Experience with HR software (UKG / HCM). · High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. · Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
